Before install SmallHD 702 Lite Field Monitor 2.2you should set a system restore point, to make sure you can rollback to your original driver in case you accidentally install another driver or select the driver for another version of the operating system.
Also, do not forget to check with our site as often as possible for new version of SmallHD 702 Lite Field Monitor . We recommend to always use most recent version of a driver.
New features:- Full Support for 700 Lite Series Monitors Added.
- Option to enable “long cable support”. This will improve SDI signal reception on cables greater than 50 ft.
- A library of Reverse LOG LUTs have been added to the monitor. These are accessible using the LOOK Tool on any page
- Default Calibration LUTs have been added to the 702, 702 Lite and 701 Lite
- On-screen “Status Display” may now be enabled in the settings menu
- This feature displays:
a) Input Type
b) Input Format
c) Time
d) Battery Status- Voltage and Percent remaining for compatible LP-E6 Canon Batteries
- LUTs now have an “intensity” slider. When modified on the Output Page the intensity of the LUT is altered downstream as well
- Vectorscope has been added. Vectorscope displays data modified by LUTs loaded on pages
- Settings menu option to automatically perform an image-capture when SDI Record signal occurs
- Low Battery indicator now appears on top of video when a chipped Canon battery reports <15% remaining
- Backdrop at boot time, background in collage, and background on individual pages changed from black to dark gray
Improvements:- Improvements to the “Calibration” settings page
– “Brightness, Contrast” renamed to “Black Point, White Point”
- “No Signal” text now includes source signal -> “No HDMI Signal” | “No SDI Signal”
- Up to 2 zebra tools may be enabled simultaneously
- Waveform Improvements:
a) User-selectable intensity
b) User-selectable Color when in “LUMA” mode
- Improved LUT support:
a) LUTs with negative values should now load
b) LUTs with values that range from 0.0-1.0, but also include illegal values above 1.0 should also now load
Fixes:- Fixed a bug that kept some joysticks from working when upside down
Installation steps:
1. Download .zip file.
2. Unzip file (extract files).
3. Read the included ReadMe .txt file to see what changes are included.
4. Drag and drop .bin file from download onto your SD card (Must be 16gb or smaller – FAT or FAT32 for Windows, MS-DOS (FAT) for Mac).
5. Remove SD Card from computer or card reader attached to computer.
6. Insert SD card into your 500 series monitor.
7. Turn on your monitor.
8. On monitor, page left all the way with your joystick to the monitor’s Setting Menu.
9. Select firmware update in settings menu and follow on screen prompts.
10. Once firmware is installed and the on screen prompt tells you to reboot your monitor – remove the power source and then re-attach the power source to reboot (power button will not work for this reboot).
Important notice:
- Make sure you do not lose power during firmware update
- DO NOT INSTALL ANY VERSION PRIOR TO v2.2 ON A 700 LITE SERIES MONITOR
